Lynne Bertrand's 2021 YA novel, City of the Uncommon Thief (Dutton), is the epic tale of three roof runners who live in a city lost in place and time. In the early 1990s, Bertrand wrote several picture books including One Day, Two Dragons (Clarkson Potter), Dragon Naps (Viking), Who Sleeps in the City? (Chapters Publishing), and Granite Baby (Farrar, Straus and Giroux). Bertrand studied science and journalism. She works in the music industry and lives in Western Massachusetts with her family.
